Tournament Format

This is a handicap event. Each team will consist of four bowlers and may be all male, all female, or mixed. Each bowler will bowl six games on Day 1 and six games on Day 2. Lane assignments will be determined by entry submission order. Bowler lineup changes will not be permitted after March 4, 2027.

Team Averages

At entry, each bowler must use the highest certified composite league average of 21 games or more from the past three years. A league standing sheet or letter of verification from the association secretary is required. Bowlers who do not meet the average requirements will enter with a 220 average. The tournament committee will verify all averages through bowl.com. A team’s combined average may not exceed 850. Bowlers are responsible for verifying their own average, whether it is submitted by the bowler, team captain, or another person.

Handicap

Handicap will be based on 90% of the difference between 220 and the bowler’s entering average. All scores are capped at 300.

Prize Distribution

One hundred percent of the prize fund will be paid to bowlers. The team-event payout ratio is 1:7; the individual payout ratio is 1:10.

Team Prizes

·  Day 1 team handicap: 6-game total

·  Day 2 team handicap: 6-game total

·  All Events: Combined 12-game total for Days 1 and 2

Team Scores

Recap score sheets must be completed, verified, and signed by both team captains, then submitted to the tournament committee each day. The bowling center’s computer printout will serve as the official score for team and individual prizes.

Bowler Readiness

Bowlers who miss one or more frames because they are not present or ready when it is their turn will receive zero pins for every missed frame.

Tournament Committee Duties

The tournament committee is responsible for:

A.  Enforcing tournament rules and deciding disputes or complaints, including matters involving USBC rules, player eligibility, equipment, player conduct, disqualification, and related issues. Committee determinations are final.

B.  Adjusting a bowler’s entering average when tournament directors determine that the current average does not reflect the bowler’s actual ability.

C.  Managing tournament operations, including the re-rating of bowlers when appropriate.

D.  Paying prize awards.

E.  Directing all questions or concerns to Tracy Nakashima.

Optional side pots and brackets will be available.
